Acquisition by Evergreen Fibreboard (Nilai) Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of EVERGRN, of the business of Hume Fibreboard Sdn Bhd ("HFSB") from HFSB for a total consideration of RM213,230,000 satisfied by issuance of 33,000,000 new ordinary shares of RM0.25 each in EVERGRN at an issue price of RM1.31 per share and the balance satisfied in cash of RM170,000,000 ("Acquisition")

Kindly be advised that the abovementioned Company's additional 33,000,000 new ordinary shares of RM0.25 each issued at RM1.31 per share pursuant to the aforesaid Acquisition will be granted listing and quotation with effect from 9.00 a.m., Monday, 29 September 2008.
