OTHERS - PROPOSED RENEWAL OF SHARE BUY-BACK AUTHORITY AND PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE COMPANY'S CONSTITUTION (COLLECTIVELY KNOWN AS "PROPOSALS")

The Board of Directors of  Evergreen Fibreboard Berhad wishes to announce that the Company intends to seek for approval of its shareholders for the Proposed Renewal of Authorisation for the Company to purchase its own shares up to 10% of the total number of issued shares ("Proposed Share Buyback") and Proposed Amendments to the Company's Constitution ("Proposed Amendments") [collectively known as "the Proposals"] at the forthcoming Thirtieth Annual General Meeting (“AGM”) of the Company.

 

The Proposed Amendments are made mainly to provide greater clarity, enhance administrative efficiency and ensure compliance with the relevant statutory and regulatory requirements so as to update in accordance with the latest development of governance.

 

The Proposals will be tabled for the shareholders' consideration at the forthcoming Annual General Meeting. The Share Buy-back Statement will be issued in due course and the details of the Proposed Amendments will be set out in Appendix A of the Notice of AGM to be circulated to the shareholders of the Company in due course.
