The Board of Directors of Evergreen Fibreboard Berhad is pleased to announce
that the group's financial results for the first quarter ended 31 March 2005 is
in line with the forecast results set out in the Prospectus in respect of the
same year. Barring unforeseen circumstances, with the Group's second MDF
production line in Thailand commencing as scheduled, the Board of Directors of
Evergreen Fibreboard Berhad are confident that the Group will be able to achieve
the 2005 full year forecasted results.
In light of the Group's current financial performance so far, the Board of
Directors hereby declares a special tax-exempt interim dividend of 12.5% or
3.125 sen per share and has set the books closure date on 30th June 2005 for the
one-off dividend entitlement.
In respect of the financial year ending 31st December 2005, the Board of
Directors proposes to pay out to shareholders up to 60% in tax-exempt dividends
(including the interim dividend mentioned above) of the Company's profit after
tax for the full financial year.
